Dr. Wayne Hansen is a Utah-licensed Doctor of Chiropractic, Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, and paramedic with more than 15 years of clinical experience. He has served as Clinic Director of Canyon Sports and Spine since 2016, with a practice focused on evaluating and rehabilitating patients after motor-vehicle collisions.
His approach combines careful examination, evidence-informed spine care, clear documentation, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals when a patient’s condition requires imaging, specialist evaluation, or additional treatment. Advanced training for injury care
Dr. Hansen has completed extensive post-graduate education in spinal trauma, MRI and X-ray interpretation, concussion and traumatic brain injury, spinal biomechanics, clinical triage, impairment evaluation, and medical-legal documentation. His training emphasizes identifying injuries that may require co-management and communicating clinical findings clearly to patients, attorneys, radiologists, and other healthcare providers.
Experience with auto-accident patients
Since entering practice in 2010, Dr. Hansen has directed clinics serving patients with collision-related neck pain, back pain, headaches, joint injuries, mobility limitations, and other post-traumatic concerns. Each patient receives an individualized evaluation, and care recommendations are based on clinical findings rather than a one-size-fits-all treatment plan.
Professional education and speaking
Dr. Hansen has presented on multidisciplinary concussion management, the differences between concussion and traumatic brain injury, and current issues in personal-injury care. His speaking engagements have included programs associated with the Utah Association for Justice and personal-injury education for legal and healthcare professionals.
